yeah, missions, yeah! August 11, 2015

Hey y'all!

Had a good week overall. We worked super hard and had really high expectations (much of which fell through) but we are trying to keep our motivation and practice some serious diligence. :)

La familia Villalpando was going to be baptized this week but last week we taught about modesty and now she wants to wait. Hermana Bleak is really sad because she will probably be transferred next week. We are still hopeful that it could happen and praying hard! They are SO ready!

We've been teaching a man named Jesus Mireles and he's come to church the past 3 Sundays but he has drinking problems and just isn't very coherent. I get frustrated teaching him because I want to explain everything on a spiritual level but he doesn't comprehend that right now. I know I need to be patient and loving as Jesus would, but that's way easier said than done!

Jesus Amaro came to church! We love that guy. He's super awesome.

I've been reading a lot of Jesus The Christ this week and eating it up. There is so much to learn about the life of the Savior and His ways and His teaching. It has helped me to gain a greater knowledge and understanding and appreciation of His earthly ministry.

I'm learning so many lessons everyday and just really loving being a missionary. I realized this week how hard the adjustment is going to be when I go home! But I've still got 7 months to work my tail off and not worry about any of that! :)

I feel like SO much happened this week but I just can't remember anything right now. Sorry, folks. We had to stay in yesterday (sickyness) and I'm still feeling off BUT hopefully that'll change quick and we can have another successful week of laboring in the Lord's vineyard. :)
