Well, the big news is.......as of this morning we got put into A TRIO!! What! Hermana Brown's companion went home so President Miller called us last night and asked if we would take on another companion for 2 weeks! Crazy! It's gonna be a lot of fun.So Alicia and Jessica are still doing amazing. They went to a baptism on saturday morning and that night came to the General Women's Conference Broadcast with us. They loved it!! We also had a really powerful lesson with them last week about eternal that was very emotional for them. Jessica's mom (Alicia is really her grandma) was killed in Juarez when she was only a month old. Elder Kimball gave them both blessings and the spirit was really strong. They are getting baptized this Saturday between conference sessions and they can't wait. It is something so amazing to have the front row seats to conversion!Hermana Aguilera, a less active we have been working with, has quit smoking cold turkey all on her own!! She is making major progress and is really turning her life around. You can see a difference in the light in her eyes! It is incredible! She loves plants and taking care of them. When all of the bad things started happening in her life she neglected them because she couldn't even take care of her self. They all withered and died along with her happiness. So this last week we took her an Easter Lilly that Sister Kimball bought for us. She was overjoyed and so grateful and it was such an uplifting experience. Bringing joy to others can bring joy to ourselves as well.I was in a different area on exchanges on Saturday and we went OYMing (contacting) in a park. Honestly I was not feeling up to it and still struggle with talking to strangers but I knew that I had to square up and do it. We started talking to a family and ended up chatting with them for about 30 minutes. They thought it didn't make any sense why there are so many churches and so many different versions of the Bible if there is only one God. I began talking to the mom one on one and felt the noise and distractions all around us melt away as I told her that we don't have to be confused and that Heavenly Father loves us and wants to know the truth. I pulled out my mini English Book of Mormon from my purse and felt such an abundance of love for her as I testified of it's truthfulness and divinity. I felt bad because it's all written in and marked up and a little ratty from being in the bottom of my purse but it was all I had. I gave it to her, got all her info, and hugged her goodbye. She lives in Taylor, Texas, which is about 13 hours away. I've been praying that the missionaries will be able to find her and teach her!I am SO pumped for conference this weekend. The Women's Session was wonderful. I am nervous to be watching it all in Spanish, but it'll be an adventure. :)New favorite scripture: Mosiah 7:33Favorite Scripture of today: Mosiah 2: 21-24 but really all of King Benjamin's speech is just on point. ;)Love yall! Love this work! Love this area! Love my comps! And most of I love my Heavenly Father. His love and grace and trust and blessings are endless.Con amor,
