Hey. Howdy. Hola.Great week! I don't think I've laughed so much ever before!Great Things:- Had exchanges this week with Sister Shaw. It was fun! I had to translate everything for her so that was kinda crazy, but it was a good day!- Got to go to Jumalay's baptism...she looked like a princess! Any excuse to by a fancy dress is definitely taken here :) Also Sara and her kids came with us!- We played racquetball for morning exercise.- Hermana Lopez keeps bringing me new skirts. I love that woman. Not So Great Things:- I got proposed to. Yep. I was hoping the first time it happened it would be the real deal. But....no. It was over the phone. He really liked my Spanish. Wanted to come to church to "get to know me, take care of me, and love me forever. Because if it isn't for forever it isn't long enough." Yikes. I would write the full story but I think that's sufficient.- Ate a whole bunch of raw fish. Okay. Well. It's "cooked by lemon juice" but I'm not really buying that. It was super good but after thinking about it also super disturbing.-Ate the spiciest thing yet of my mission. So hilarious though. The family's house we were eating at was designed super weird and also super tiny. So it was just me and Hermana Bleak eating in a teeny room by ourselves. The Hermana brought us the food with some cream and said if we thought it was too spicy we could put the cream on it. Obviously we have to be Mexican so we could NOT put the cream on it. After being red faced, tears coming, and noses running, I was the weakest link and gave in and put cream on it. But just on the second plate (yes TWO plates of that!) But it was so stinking hilarious. We just laughed the whole time.Honestly, we are barely teaching anyone right now and just putting all our efforts into finding. We're also in a competition with the district leader of who can get more contacts this week sooo it's gonna be great.Sara and Martin have had a change of events. Her parents are actually coming THIS week instead of in august so that is super good. She is ready to tell them that they are getting baptized and hoping that they will accept it. However, her brother is now blackmailing them so they are super stressed and worried with that whole situation. It is definitely their major trial before covenanting with The Lord. Happens every time. We're just praying really hard for them and trusting in the Lord's timing because the situation is completely out of our control.I've learned a lot lately about the way that the adversary works. Which is really important to understand so we know how to fight him and also so we understand more about the role of The Savior. Heavenly Father knows us so perfectly but so does Satan. He knows exactly how to bring us down and he always targets our weakest areas. It's real and scary but we can rejoice in the fact that with the strength and redemptive powers of the Atonement, we can always be stronger than him. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are on our team! Heavenly Father is waiting to bless us and help us. Christ has already paid the price and provided the way. They have given us the greatest tool to fight the great fight and return to live with Them again-- The restored gospel of Jesus Christ! The Gospel is the greatest treasure that I have in my life. I am so grateful to goodly parents, faithful leaders, and encouraging friends that have helped me to learn and to grow and to come to understand more my divine worth and purpose as a daughter of God. I am so honored to have this calling as a missionary. I am so far from perfect, and absolutely do not know everything, but I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven who knows me and loves me and blesses me in every moment and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's restored church. And that it is the only church on the earth that has the power and authority of the priesthood. How blessed am I to have this truth and to be able to proclaim it to the world every single day! I invite everyone to find out if this is true. And if you already know it is, ask again and again! Keep receiving the confirmation from the very maker of our beings. I promise that if you want to know if it's true you will receive an answer. And the answer will forever be yes!
