Hey Everybody! What a crazy and wonderful week. I sure love the Christmas season and the spirit it brings but I do have to say that I am looking forward for the holidays to be over when we can start teaching at full speed again! Many people have been out of town, or delayed starting the lessons til after the new year. The ward was so loving and took good care of us this week and fed us a ton. It was so wonderful to Skype home. I have the greatest family ever :)Carmen has unfortunately still not been married or baptized. However, she did try to go get the marriage license, but the courthouse was closed. I am still just so happy that she made the effort!! It's going to happen one of these days. And it is all going to be so worth it for her.I am so grateful for this opportunity to make goals for this New Year! I think I will be better at keeping them this year (hopefully.) This gospel is one of growth and progression and making goals is a critical part of that! I'm grateful for that I get to dedicate the entire year of 2015 to this work. I hope that through my goals the Lord can shape me into the missionary and person that I need to be.Here are some weekly stats:Number of people caroled to in one house on Christmas Ever: approximately 40Tamales eaten: 16 - and I could do it again and again they are so good.Hours of service given: 6 or 7 - We made tons of cookies with a member to give to less-actives and lonelies in the ward. Also, we started painted the interior of the house we've been working on!Lessons taught: 4 - It was a rough week for lessons. But it can only go up from here, right?Pairs of fuzzy socks received: 3 - I am the luckiest.Times it snowed: 2! I was so surprised my fuzzy socks were knocked right off!Pairs of shoes worn through: 1 - I guess that's what I get for wearing white during winter ;)Times eaten pickled pork neck skin: ....1 time too many....It is definitely an adventure out here! Each day brings new challenges, but also new blessings. How lucky I am to be entrusted with His name and part of His team. I love this gospel. I know that it is the truth.Much Love from the border,
