siempre hay cambios November 9, 2015

Hey all!

So tomorrow I will be getting a new companion! Changes are good and exciting. Especially when I'm not the one being moved ;) And this next transfer is only going to be 5 weeks long. And with the holidays coming feel free to send me some love :)

No news on the investigator front. We only have a couple right now those so we are still trying to find new people to teach!

We had Stake Conference yesterday and it was really good. It was a regional broadcast and Lynn G. Robbins, Linda K. Reeves, Lawrence G. Corbridge, and Dallin H. Oaks all spoke.

Lynn G. Robbins spoke about simplifying our lives and how simplicity is a Christlike attribute. Simplicity is wisdom, prudence, and self-restraint. "The antonym and antidote for complexity is contentment."

Elder Oaks talked about a lot of different subjects. He asked, "Are you active just in the church or are you active in the gospel?" He explained that being active in the gospel means that we continually repent, serve others always, and strive to improve. He also said that the world will hate us for doing things the Lord's way. He said that cell phones should be our slaves, NOT our masters! 4 steps he gave for reaching out to those who have strayed from the gospel path are: Be their friends, listen to them, seek to understand their concerns, and help them to see that they can change. Basically it was a powerhouse kind of talk!

I attached photos from last week of Halloween and Day of the Dead that I meant to send last week.

Have a great week!
Til Tuesday,
Hermana Dearden
