Transfer #7 Week 2 June 2,2015

Hey yall!
So, basically I'm in love with Albuquerque already. It's so great. We are teaching tons of people up here (18 as of yesterday) and they are all amazing! Most of them are new Our district consists of 8 english elders and then us. Our area is HUGE. It covers 7 different english wards boundaries. There are lots of members here though, it's awesome!
Fun Facts about Hermana Bleak:
-she grew up in Blanding, Utah (yep...bleak from blanding haha!)
-she is 5 foot 9 and 3/4 (I'm not used to being the "short" companion!)
-she has the most positive attitude of anyone I know (besides my momma)
-she loves Harry Potter
-our branch president here is her 2nd cousin
-she shares my love of raisin bran
-she went to UVU before her mission and wants to be a surgeon
-she hits her year mark at the end of this month and is a FABULOUS missionary!
-flashback to us 7 months ago! remember this?

We haven't been able to ride our bikes yet because we live 10 miles away from the hispanic areas of town...so they are gonna move us again next week.  Never a dull moment.. But it'll be good cuz our neighbor smokes pot all the time anyways. It's been weird adjusting to contacting white people. It's way harder! They are a lot...harsher. I just love Mexicans. :) Also, we go to the rest home to call out bingo numbers for service every Thursday. It's a hoot! The mission president and his wife showed up at our branch on sunday..that was quite the surprise! Our branch is predominately white people that served spanish speaking missions and have been assigned by the stake to be in it. And there are 3 recently returned sister missionaries that served spanish speaking missions (one in salt lake, one in kentucky, and one in utah) that go and they are wonderful. They are so helpful with going to lessons and driving us around and all that jazz because they understand completely.  Also...we get to drive past THE TEMPLE almost everyday. What a blessing to have one so close.
The branch is really great because they are all recent converts. It is so amazing to see! There is one set of elders that serves in the branch as well. I'm still slowly getting to know people, but that always takes a while. Sorry this i super scatter brained and also that I was terrible at taking pictures this week.
This work is completely in the hands of the Lord. I've learned how important it is that we do it His way and always with His help. It is hard to put yourself completely aside but it is SO necessary as a missionary to be able to be a channel of love and light and truth. I can't believe my time as a full time missionary is already halfway over. That gives me the drive to make every single day the absolute best and give my all in every single moment!
Love yall! Til next week,
Hermana Dearden
