La Estaca de Chamizal! January 19, 2016

HOLA.
This week in my exciting life:
We had a total breakthrough with Jackie! She admitted she really wants to get married and she talked to Gabriel about it and he does too and we've been able to help them work through their fears. We had an awesome lesson about the Tree of Life with them and talked about what their personal fruit and great and spacious buildings are. I love them and am so excited for them! Jackie is so ready to get baptized and wants to so bad.
On Friday we were knocking on doors and this really nice lady named Soledad let us in. The ward was having an activity that night so we invited her and her and her son came! Miracle!
Elder Arnold from the Seventy came to create a new stake here in El Paso! So exciting! I am now part of El Paso's third stake: The El Paso Chamizal Stake. Wahoo!! Also, for the saturday night session I got to help translate! What!
President and Sister Miller came to our district meeting. It was a really good one.
The new elder is named Elder Montoya. He is from Peru and was serving his mission in Ecuador but his family is moving to California so they relocated him here. He is learning English and it's so fun! Also, I stole the ball from him a couple times during soccer last P-Day and that made me feel like a champ.‪#‎wishiwerelatina‬
So that's basically all there is to report on this week. The weeks are going by so fast! And it's already starting to feel like spring here. I love it but my allergies don't. smile emoticon I am pretty sure that I will be getting transferred in two weeks so I'm just trying to love every minute of this area and these people.
Gracias por sus oraciones! Sigan adelante.
Hermana Dearden
P.S. Hermana Moss and I have started speaking Spanish but with a British accent. It's hilarious. You should try it.
