Goodbye Only Gets Harder January 12, 2016

This week was a toughie.
We had to say goodbye to one of the greatest missionaries and human beings. Elder Acevedo (far right on pic #1) got a 3 day notice that he was being sent home for medical reasons. He was only in our district for 4 short weeks but he made such a difference in just that amount of time. We became friends so fast (even though he pretended not to speak english for the first week and a half!) and he helped me and my companions learn and grow a lot. Also he helped me discover a talent that I didn't even know I had...writing songs! Maybe I'll send a sneak peek next week. smile emoticon The 5 of us performed a musical number at the elder's baptism on Saturday night.
I am really grateful for the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people in the mission. Goodbyes are horrid but we just have to be grateful for all the good times and memories that we were blessed with!
Other news:
- Jackie and Gabriel are getting closer to getting married!
- Ericka (who is pregnant!!) is going to be baptized this month!
- Juan Cigarroa told us last night that he has started to feel like he is getting his answer that he should be baptized! He is dropping his grandson off at the MTC next week so hopefully that helps him to commit.
The work goes on, folks. We are knocking on lots of doors, finding lots of new people, and trying to become better teachers every day. To be honest, I am so tired. But I know that this is the most important work and that I need to push hard til the end. Thank you all for your love and support! Keep praying for us! heart emoticon

P.S. Did I ever mention that I LOVE speaking Spanish? Cuz I do.
