Hey. Guess What?
ELDER HOLLAND IS COMING TO OUR ZONE CONFERENCE ON FEBRUARY 22ND.
I'm just a little excited. That's all. smile emoticon
This week was pretty great! And very eventful. It snowed for a solid several hours! Super weird for here. The other sister's in our district had to sleepover on Thursday night because their carbon monoxide detector went off at 2 am. That was definitely an unexpected surprise!
Sunday was a super busy day. We attended the English ward in the morning and Victoria came!! She loved it. Ahhh. smile emoticon Then we taught a lesson in between and then went to our ward. Sister Ramirez gave a talk and then the two of us performed a musical number- she played piano and I played the flute. It went really good!
We got another amazing new investigator this week-- his name is Jose and his whole family is LDS. His granddaughter is on a mission in California right now. He is so prepared and has really just needed to have been taught one on one. We are working on resolving his doubts (which are few) and he said, "you know, this time i think i'm going to become a mormon!"
There have been miracles all around and the work has really been picking up. It's been a lot of fun and also challenging as I am trying to improve my teaching abilities.
There are a lot of amazing things on the verge of happening here in the El Paso Zone! We have about 7 or so baptisms happening this weekend and many to follow in February.
God is so good. Prayer is so essential. This gospel is absolutely and incredibly true.
Muchisimo amor,
Hermana Dearden
