week report February 17, 2015

Hey ya'll,

Quick review of the week:

I got invited to sing in a bilingual choir for Elder Holland's visit!

We received 23 referrals last week.

Kim is doing so good still. She is very excited to be baptized. We had a super powerful law of chastity lesson with her last week and on sunday showed her the baptismal font.

Jose is my favorite abuelito in the whole world. I got to sit next to him at church on sunday and share a hymnbook with him and it was truly one of the happiest moments of my mission so far. He is so genuine. So willing and ready to change. Also...he has like 20 chickens and they are super cool. He just tells me all about them all the time and he gave us the first 6 eggs that they have hatched! He teaches me tons of random vocabulary about farm life and such and I love it. And he has too many roosters so he needs to kill one to eat and......I'm gonna do it! Ahhh! Haha, that's right. I'm pretty nervous but the farm girl inside of me has something to prove. ;)
But the best part about this is we are going to help build a pen for a LAMB! And I am going to feed it.  And my lifelong dream will come true.

Had the best meal yet of all 5 months of my mission last night (enchiladas from a less-active)....and not too long after threw it all up in our living room...I'll just say it was a rough night and leave it at that. Anyways, I am currently on apartment confinement and so I apologize for not being able to respond to any of your emails today, but I promise to next week.

Much love,
sister sicky pants
